Congratulations! You bought the latest iPhone!

However, are you making the most out of your new iPhone camera?

Below is an easy trick to optimise your camera for the best Instagram videos.

Optimising iPhone videos for Instagram*

  1. Go to Settings > Camera > Format
  2. Select Most Compatible
  3. Go to Record Video > Select 1080p at 30fps
  4. Go to Record Video > Turn off HDR video

That’s it! The camera is configured to record the best possible quality for Instagram. Try it and let me know if it works for you!

PS: *My advice is based on Adobe’s recommendations below:

  • .mp4 format (native iPhone format)
  • AAC audio (native iPhone format)
  • 3500 kbps bitrate (Adjusted in this tutorial)
  • 30 fps (frames per second) (Adjusted in this tutorial)
  • Maximum of 60 seconds long
  • 1080 pixels wide (max)
  • 1920 pixels tall
  • H.264 codec (Adjusted in this tutorial)

Once you have adjusted your cameras settings as I recommended, your camera should optimized to record the best quality video for Instagram.
